What's this?
TEN'I is a thin, three-dimensional molded wallet made of a single piece of leather, aiming for the ultimate form that can be loved for a long time.
Thin Wallet for the Cashless & Sustainability Era
Modern "thin wallets" that are not bulky in the pocket.
Although we use cash much less often nowadays, we still feel uneasy about going out without a wallet. Thin wallets that do not stack coins and cards in the wallet are the norm. TEN'I is large enough to meet your needs and is structured to efficiently hold coins, cards, and bills.
Can you love your favorite for a long time?
On the other hand, however, no matter how elaborately made or how much you love your wallet, there comes a time when you have to say good-bye to it. The durability of cowhide itself is generally said to be 10 to 20 years, but many leather products become unusable before that due to frayed stitching or broken metal fittings (the life span of a typical wallet with stitching and metal fittings is 5 to 10 years).
We want to make wallets that are easy to use and fit for the modern age, and we want to love them as long as possible. TEN'I is a thin wallet with a bill compartment, coin purse, and card slots, made completely from a single piece of leather without sewing, gluing, or metal fittings.
Structure
Not just thin, but easy to use.
The first external feature is that it is thin. With nothing in it, it is 11 mm thick. But of course, this does not sacrifice usability. If you open it vertically, you can access coins, cards, and bills in one action, so there is no fumbling when paying the bill.
The coin purse is shallow so that the contents can be checked at a glance, eliminating the need to search for coins from the back of the purse.
Contrary to appearances, it can hold a lot. For example, even with all this space, it is only 18 mm thick.
But if you are looking for a user-friendly thin wallet, you may find it elsewhere. What sets TEN'I apart from its predecessors is another feature: it is made of one piece of leather.
Complete one-piece leather construction to meet your love
One-piece construction with no sewing, gluing or metal fittings
Because there are no stitches, it is not associated with thread fraying. There are no metal fittings, so they will not be damaged, nor will they damage the fabric of your clothing.
Furthermore, no slits, braids, or other mechanisms that would place excessive burdens on the user are used. The design is based on a thorough pursuit of "longevity," with detailed efforts made throughout, such as processing to disperse force in areas that may become weak points.
Can be put back in one piece, making it easy to clean and keep clean.
There have been several wallets made from a single piece of leather in the past, but they have been described as interesting and unusual, and not so much functional. TEN'I uses a technique called "wet forming" to memorize the shape of the leather, so it does not lose its shape and retains its three-dimensional form. It can be opened as many times as you like to make it a single piece, making it easy to care for. You can brush and apply moisturizing cream to every corner by yourself.
In other words, we are proud of the fact that our wallets are built with the durability of leather, making them difficult to break, easy to maintain by removing dust and dirt and moisturizing, and can be used and loved for many years to come.
I think there has probably never been a wallet made of a single piece of leather and in the shape of a thin wallet. Once we made it, we were able to create a product that is very functional and that we can love.
Processing
We do not think that just because it does not require sewing or metal fittings, it makes the production process easier. We have developed original jigs and established our own wet-forming technology to achieve beautiful forms that cannot be achieved by simply folding leather.
We have been making leather products for 25 years, and our fine but important professional finishing touches include straining the leather in parts to reduce unnecessary bulges by changing the thickness, finishing the cross-section of the leather so that it does not become fluffy (koba polish), and smoothing the back side of the leather (floor surface) where it touches the bill.
Material is made by a famous Italian tannery.
After experimenting with various leathers, we finally settled on the "Bulgaro" manufactured by Lo Stivale in Santa Croce, Italy. It is a standard shoulder leather with a smooth and fine-grained surface.
The leather is relatively hard, but it is well oiled, so it is firm yet moderately supple. The natural unevenness of the color due to the dye finish makes it an elegant and tasteful product.
The leather is vegetable tanned, dyed, and oiled by the vachetta process, so the more you use it, the more you will enjoy its natural luster and color change over time.
In addition, the leather is pressed so that the fibers are even more packed, making it a perfect material for the durability of leather, which is also important to us.
The ultimate "100-year version" is also available.
A ray leather version, which is said to last for 100 years, will also be sold. The surface of ray leather is made of calcium phosphate, the same ingredient as teeth, and while it is difficult to process, its unique unevenness is prized as a "jewel of the sea."
TEN'I has an advantage in processing because it is not sewn, but it requires a rare large size of leather to finish it in a single piece of leather, and the raw material cost is higher, resulting in this price. Although it is not as smooth to use as cowhide TEN'I, it is much more durable and resistant to scratches and wetness, and we are proud that we have created a wallet that can truly transcend generations.

How To Care
Since the leather called Bulgaro contains a lot of oil, it does not need to be moisturized frequently. It is sufficient to occasionally roll out a piece of leather and brush it to remove fine dust and dirt. However, if you feel that the leather is becoming dry after long use, you should replenish the oil with a special cream as needed.
Please be careful not to get it wet, as wetting it will cause it to lose its shape, the color to fade, and the leather itself to deteriorate.
